IPCA Wayfinding & Signage System

Client - Ipca Laboratories

Scope - Wayfinding Strategy, Sustainable Signage Design

Studio -earth for earth x made-a-line

For IPCA’s campus, we developed a holistic wayfinding and signage system that goes beyond simply guiding people—it embodies a philosophy of sustainable, thoughtful design. Our approach integrates environmental responsibility with social inclusivity, reflecting IPCA’s commitment to clarity, innovation, and conscientious design.

Sustainability at the Core:
The project prioritizes eco-conscious strategies at every stage. Solar-powered signage units minimize energy consumption while maintaining visibility and functionality throughout the day. Recyclable materials and low-impact fabrication techniques further reduce the carbon footprint, ensuring the system is environmentally responsible without compromising on aesthetics or durability.

Inclusive and Intuitive Design:
Every sign is crafted for universal accessibility, making navigation intuitive for all users, including those with visual or mobility challenges. Signage placement is contextually sensitive—carefully integrated into the campus landscape to maintain visual harmony while delivering clear, unambiguous directions.

Design Philosophy:
The system balances functionality with visual storytelling, reinforcing IPCA’s values of responsibility, transparency, and progress. From orientation to destination, each element communicates a sense of place, purpose, and thoughtfulness. Materials, finishes, and typography were chosen not only for durability and legibility but also for their ability to resonate with the campus environment.

Outcome:
The IPCA Wayfinding & Signage System is more than a navigation aid—it’s a demonstration of conscious design thinking, where every detail, from energy use to user experience, aligns with sustainable and ethical principles. The result is a campus that is navigable, visually cohesive, and environmentally responsible.
